About The Hayfield At Murchison Farms Wedding Venue

9850 Pleasant Hill Church Rd, Liberty, North Carolina 27298

While Hayfield at Murchison Farms might be one of the newest venues around, this property goes way back through the generations. The original Murchison Farm started out over 150 years ago to keep dairy cows and sheep. Over the years, the farm was passed down through the family members who continued to use it to raise cows. Today, Robin Cockerham owns the farm with her sister, her brother-in-law, and her husband. When the family isn’t busy throwing some of the most lavish parties around, they are raising Black Angus beef cows. When you use this spot for your wedding day, you will have exceptional views of the rolling pastures to set the scene for your celebration!

Details of the Grounds

If you’ve always wanted the barn vibes for your wedding day but don’t want to be stuck with the lack of amenities you typically find with these spaces, Hayfield At Murchison Farms is about to become the wedding venue of your dreams! The morning of your celebration, the venue will show you to The Daisy House, a space Robin named after her great-grandmother, who originally owned the spot.  It has been completely renovated to give you a comfortable area where you can get ready alongside your wedding party. Camp out at the salon-style vanities, sip some champagne on the velvet lounge furniture, and slip into your gown in the dressing room. The venue will even let you rent out the house throughout the weekend, giving you a convenient spot to crash either before or after your wedding.

Most couples who get married at Hayfield choose an outdoor wedding. The venue has two designated spots for this. If you are planning on hosting a larger wedding, you can opt for The Oak Lawn. When you exchange your vows out here, you can enjoy immaculate views of the surrounding farmland as well as the duck pond. This area is rated to hold up to 300 guests. Want something a little more intimate? Then check out the Half Moon Terrace. This is a two-tiered front porch where you can hold up to 150 guests as you say your I do’s

For your reception, your party will move into the Main Hall. This is the crowning jewel of the already impressive complex. The timber barn is outfitted with concrete floors (perfect for hours of dancing!) and illuminated by sophisticated chandeliers. The Black Angus Bar is located just to the side of the room, offering enough space for up to three bartenders who can keep the drinks flowing late into the night. For those who need a bit more space, you can open up the barn doors, where your guests will have access to the covered verandas. The barn additionally has a fully renovated hay loft where your guests can find extra seating, a conversation area, and an additional bar.
