The Ivory Barn is a North Carolina wedding venue that’s a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. Nestled on 11 acres just outside of Charlotte, this venue keeps you near the city while making it feel as though you’ve just managed the greatest escape. As a Greensboro wedding photographer, I adore working with couples to document their perfect celebrations. Here is everything you need to know about hosting your wedding at The Ivory Barn!

The Ivory Barn is a venue that was built on love. The idea came about when the owners, Kevin and Gayle, wondered what was next. Their youngest child had just graduated high school, and they were suddenly staring at an ocean of possibilities. The two had always thrown exceptional parties, so their friends suggested hosting weddings right on their home property. It was a natural fit! Today, the two continue living out their love story while helping couples write their own next chapter.
The Ivory Barn was built to offer spaces for every part of your wedding. The namesake barn features both a bridal and a groom suite. These spacious lounges are on opposite sides of the building, so you can stay separate for as long as you’d like.
For those who would prefer an outdoor ceremony, you can use The Outdoor Pavilion. This open-air space welcomes surrounding views while keeping you shaded from the hot Carolina summer sun! If you prefer an indoor ceremony, you can use the Barn. With high ceilings, white walls, and polished concrete floors, it will be a blank canvas that can seamlessly move across styles.
For your cocktail hour, your guests can head to the patio, where they can enjoy signature drinks beneath bistro lights.
The Barn is the ideal spot for your reception. The open and airy layout will ensure your guests have plenty of space to move around and dance!
One of the things I love the most about The Ivory Barn is all the iconic photo locations! The bridal and groom suites are picture-perfect, with modern decorations that will elevate your portraits. Outside, there is a church bell you can ring with your partner for some pretty cute couple’s pics. I also love using the old hay barn as a backdrop for portraits with your whole wedding party.
At The Ivory Barn, they make sure you have everything you need for a truly legendary day. They have recommended vendors, but they allow you to use any seasoned caterers with proper licensing. They let you bring your own booze as long as it is served by a professional, insured bartender. They offer exclusive access to the venue, so you don’t have to worry about sharing your day with anyone else. This is a pet-friendly venue that will allow your pup to be there for your ceremony.
If you are looking for your perfect countryside venue, I think you will love The Ivory Barn! With rustic exteriors and breathtaking indoor spaces, your wedding will be nothing short of luxurious.
Once you have your venue, it’s time to start thinking about your photographer! That’s where I come in.
