Embrace the Breathtaking Views Of An Appalachian View Wedding

Appalachia is a deeply beautiful area with some of the most breathtaking views in the globe. If you are a natural explorer with an adventure in your heart and a ring on your finger, it only makes sense to have your wedding somewhere amidst these rolling hills. Appalachian View is a wedding center that lets the mountains serve as your backdrop! As a North Carolina wedding photographer, I have gotten the chance to explore some of the best venues in the state! Here is what you can expect from your Appalachian View wedding.

About The Appalachian View Wedding Venue

1117 Sugar Mountain Road #2. Newland, North Carolina 28657

Appalachian View is an award-winning venue that is owned and operated by Cathy and Dale Buchanan. The North Carolina natives have always adored this area and wanted to give couples a spot where they could get married amidst the rich nature. They pride themselves on crafting a magical experience while letting you get some of the best views of Appalachia.

Details of the Grounds

When you choose Appalachian View for your wedding, the entire event is going to happen on the property grounds. The primary event venue offers both a bridal suite and a groom’s room you can use before the ceremony. You will have plenty of space where you can get ready with your wedding party before it’s time for your day to begin.

Most people choose to hold their wedding service outside with the Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop. The Grandfather View serves as the ideal spot with an open field where you can exchange your vows with the rolling hills behind you. In the spring and summer, this spot is lush, with green trees everywhere you turn. During the autumn, the mountains explode in color as the leaves prepare to fall.

If you prefer the indoors for your wedding, the Pavilion is for you! This 1,500 square-foot space is enclosed and heated. White walls and white ceilings provide a blank slate while the floor-to-ceiling windows will help you feel like you’re outside in the mountains.

Following your ceremony, your guests can head outside and enjoy some cocktails while breathing in the mountain air. Then, they can head inside for the reception. The space is massive, with 3,600 square feet, and you can use it for your event. It features cathedral ceilings with wooden rafters, and the large windows let in the views. This room will hold up to 200 guests.

Photography Opportunities

When you choose Appalachian View for your wedding, you simply have to use the mountains as the backdrop for your pictures. The open field surrounding the property gives you an accessible spot for couple and group portraits. The large windows will ensure that the indoor portion of your celebration remains well-lit.
