Wedding Venues
The Barn at Reynolda Village is the type of spot that redefines the concept of a barn wedding. This spot offers you an elevated blank space surrounded by lush countryside. From rustic celebrations to elegant soirees, this is a venue ready to work across every style. As a Greensboro wedding photographer, I get the chance to go behind the scenes of some of the best venues. Here is what you need to know about hosting your day at The Barn at Reynolda Village wedding venue!

106 Reynolda Village, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27106
Reynolda Village is a dreamy space with a rich history! The land dates back to the early 20th century when Richard Joshua Reynolds and his wife, Katherine Smith Reynolds, purchased 1,067 acres. They went to work building their own little slice of paradise, using English villages as inspiration. Throughout their time, they constructed a cattle shed, dairy barns, a school, a post office, a carriage house, a blacksmith shop, a carriage house, and a smokehouse. They also included homes for their employees. Today, the buildings remain, serving as restaurants, stores, and local offices. The town remains passionate about preserving the legacy of the area while building toward the future.
The barn itself was a bit of an original. It served as a dairy barn for the family and was outfitted with a concrete floor designed to limit the spread of bacteria. It was one of the first in all of Winston-Salem to use this approach, and many local farmers would quickly follow their example. After the barn was done hosting its cow friends, it went on to house stores and offices before being completely renovated in 2016. Today, this building serves as an event venue ready to help you celebrate the greatest adventure yet!

The Barn at Reynolda Village is outfitted with a range of spaces that have been renovated to provide you with comfort throughout your day. When you first arrive on the grounds, you will be able to head upstairs to the Loft, where you will have a space to finish getting ready alongside your wedding party. With cozy furniture and original exposed brick walls, this will be a picture-perfect spot to spend an hour or two preparing for the best day ever! Additionally, there is a second dressing room upstairs where your partner can get ready separately.

Most ceremonies happen outside in the gardens. This land is positively lush with towering hedges and a line of trees to provide you with utmost privacy. You can place your altar in several spaces. The back of the area contains a wooden pergola with an authentic Italian-inspired fountain at the front. The structure in the backdrop adds a bit of rustic charm to every event while still looking distinguished.

If you would prefer, you can use the stairs of the all-glass greenhouse as a stage. This is going to give you a more refined backdrop. Your guests will be seated on the flat lawn with towering hedges on either side. Because this area is narrower, it’s best for more intimate weddings where you want to be surrounded by your closest family and friends.

As you explore The Barn At Reynolda Village taking your wedding portraits, your guests can head back to the barn for some cocktails. They can then take their drinks outside for a cocktail hour out in the gardens with some lawn games.

Finally, you and your guests can gather inside the barn for hours of dinner and dancing. Remember how I said earlier this space was designed to be a blank slate? I mean it! It’s refined yet ready for your unique vision. The front has barn doors ideal for your grand entrance. The rest of the space features all-white walls with cathedral ceilings and white exposed pipes. Polished concrete covers the entirety of the floors. No matter your style, this is the right space to bring it to life!

If you would prefer an outdoor soiree, the venue gives you the ability to place an event tent in the gardens for a night of dancing beneath the stars. With enough space for up to 175 guests, this spot is ideal for medium-sized weddings.

You are going to love taking pictures around Reynolda Village! For both individual pictures as well as group photos, you can use the gardens. The wedding site offers a flat surface surrounded by lush plants, offering the ideal backdrop for wedding party pictures. You can also use the steps leading up to the greenhouse to show off your wedding look. For couples’ portraits, take some time exploring the walkways around the village! Not only will you have rose-covered gardens, but you’ll also find hidden sidewalks near historic buildings. And because most magical spots are outside, you can get all of that incredible natural lighting.

Beyond the gorgeous setting, you are going to fall in love with the wedding packages available through this venue. They give you several options for parties of all sizes, so you can find the options that best suit you! Their packages include exclusive access to the gardens so you can have total privacy throughout your event. Your rental will start at 9:00 AM and go all the way through midnight. The venue will provide you with staff members who will make sure everything goes according to plan. They will also provide you with a parking attendant. The grounds have an on-site catering kitchen that your vendor of choice can use to create your perfect meal. Additionally, the venue is going to take care of all the necessary items like tables, chairs, set-up, and tear-down.

If you are looking for a barn venue that is anything but basic, The Barn at Reynolda Village wedding venue is your spot! This refined and historic destination works across all styles to create the day of your dreams.
