The Finch House is a century-old estate located in Thomasville, North Carolina. This pristine house combines stunning architecture with luxurious amenities to deliver your dream wedding! As a Greensboro wedding photographer, I adore working with couples to help them capture their perfect day. Here’s what you can expect when you host your wedding at The Finch House.
17 East Main Street, Thomasville, North Carolina 27360
As you might imagine from a mansion built in 1921, The Finch House is an estate that has seen its share of legendary moments. The house originally belonged to Thomas Austin Finch, an industrialist who built his fortune off manufacturing furniture. Finch would wear many hats throughout his career, serving as a president of the National Bank of Thomasville before consulting with FDR to pull the country out of the Great Depression. While Finch has long since passed, the house continues to bear testament to the life of a truly extraordinary man!
Located on 1.5 scenic acres in the middle of Thomasville, The Finch House gives you all you could need for your perfect wedding. Your day will start out in one of the two-bedroom suites, where you will have a mirrored walk-in closet so you can get ready for the day.
Small indoor weddings can take place in the Library where you can hold up to 70 guests. With a wooden fireplace and elegant wood paneling, this space is warm and elegant for your microwedding.
Outside is the Terrace where you can accommodate up to 200 guests. You can exchange your vows beneath a pergola surrounded by verdant plants.
For your cocktail hour, your guests can head into the Carriage House and order drinks at the bar until it’s time for the party to begin. If you want to stay indoors, your guests can stay in The Carriage House with rooms for up to 200 guests. Outdoor parties can happen on the tented terrace, where you can dance the night away on a dance floor on the cobblestone.
With The Finch House, the exterior of the mansion will be the best spot for both your group and your couple’s portraits. The Renaissance Revival architecture serves as a gorgeous backdrop as you celebrate. I also love using the Library inside for individual portraits showing off your look!
In addition to providing you with a backdrop, The Finch House is going to give you everything you need! The Finch House offers in-house bar and catering services such as cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres. They have flexible packages that include your rehearsal dinner, decor set-up, and an event coordinator. They will also take care of your tables and chairs.
