About The Wimbish House Wedding Venue

1150 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30309

The Wimbish House is a historic estate wedding venue located in Midtown Georgia. From the very beginning, the house was a show of splendor. William A Wimbish, the man who had it commissioned, was a prominent attorney who wanted to show off his family’s wealth. He used one of the best contemporary architects to create a luxurious space that was built to last. The French Renaissance home is now owned by The Atlanta Woman’s Club. It has been recognized repeatedly as one of the best wedding venues in the city.

Details of the Grounds

The Wimbish House tends to be favored for indoor wedding ceremonies. The ballroom is a bright white room with intricate windows, gilded details, and a rounded ceiling. For those who would prefer an intimate outdoor ceremony, the covered veranda is available.

The ballroom makes for a positively divine reception space! Your guests will get to enjoy delicious food before dancing beneath elegant chandeliers.

The covered veranda is the ideal spot for a cocktail hour. Your guests can enjoy signature cocktails in the lush gardens. If you would prefer to get out of the hot Georgia sun, you can speak to the venue about using one of their many rooms for this portion of your day.

You and your partner will have designated rooms inside the mansion where you can get ready before your ceremony begins. Put on the finishing touches while relaxing over a glass of champagne!

The Wimbish House can hold up to 150 seated wedding guests and up to 250 standing guests.

The interior of the mansion is bright and airy, with white walls and elegant gold details. The front porch leads into the house and is surrounded by verdant shrubs. The stairs lead into the covered veranda, giving your guests a place to socialize before your event.
